This division will be separated into two rounds and open to any athlete. The athlete will be judged on the following:
Muscularity (fullness/roundness): Symmetry (balance in physique from left to right, top to bottom): Conditioning (leanness): Posing/Presentation (Grace, Poise, Makeup and Hair for the ladies.
Athletic Physique and Theme:
Athletic Physique: We are looking for the athlete to display their physique in trendy sports attire. Absolutely no thong type of bottoms will be acceptable. We do ask that the athlete is tanned for this division and each athlete in this division are wearing tennis shoes. Attire for an athletic model is as follows:
Ladies: Athletic shorts, sports bra or crop top with tennis shoes. Baseball hat optional. You may also opt to have an open front sleeveless jacket along with your attire, but is not required. Keep in mind that your abs will need to be visible.
Men: Boardshorts or biking shorts. T-shirt (tank top, zip up sleeveless hoodie, etc.) optional with tennis shoes. Keep in mind that your abs will need to be visible. Baseball hat optional.
Theme: The athlete will not only display their physique but also show their creativity in displaying their personality. Are you a superhero in hiding, a sports fan, cheerleader, boxer, fireman or cowboy? Keep in mind your attire should not take away from your physique as it is what the judges will be looking at along with your costume. Feel free to use props. You will again execute a T-walk so the judges can observe your creativity in motion.
During the group comparison rounds the athletes will be asked to execute a series of quarter turns as outlined:
Front pose: feet facing judges no wider than shoulder width apart, relaxed with good posture. One hand, both hands or no hands on hip(s). Side poses: face the side of the stage with one hand on the hip. This will be that hip is not facing the judges. The back heel can be elevated. Leg facing the judges should be extended back creating an open frame to see the physique. Back pose One, both or no hands on the hip. Legs shoulder width apart. No bending over at the waist in this pose, however, you may have an arch in your back for this pose. In your T-walk, you can use your props. Remember the T-walk is your spotlight so you are encouraged to show your swagger and bring out your personality in your t-walk presentation.
This is an opportunity for your modeling skills to shine. Even if you have never modeled before, this is a great opportunity to give it a go. You never know what lies ahead!
